Chicken fingers are very popular at our home and my son loves those crispy chicken fingers with his favorite dip the tartar sauce.
Chicken fingers are finger size boneless chicken pieces marinated with either in buttermilk or mustard paste and then coated with fine quality bread crumbs and deep fried till crisp golden.
Well you can easily prepare this delicious crispy chicken fingers at home . I am sharing two easy methods to make chicken fingers with less ingredients at home.
• Chicken fingers with butter milk
• Cajun spiced chicken fingers.
My favorite is the Cajun spiced chicken fingers as it goes well in small get together. Work fine as a nice party snacks . If you are looking for Mumbai style fried chicken recipe then you must try Chicken koliwada.
Steps to make the recipe
Preparation
1. First slice the chicken breast from the middle into two parts. Then take one slice and cut into strips size around 2 inch long.
2. For butter milk chicken fingers, take butter milk in a bowl and mix garlic powder or garlic paste, beaten egg and salt. Then mix the chicken strips into the butter milk.
You can even use a resealable plastic bag and mix the ingredients with chicken. Seal the bag and turn to coat. Refrigerated for 3-4 hours.
3. After the marination time, drain and discard the marinade . In another bowl, combine the chicken with flour, salt and bread crumbs. Mix to coat them evenly from all sides.
Or take another resealable plastic bag and combine the chicken, flour , salt and bread crumbs. Seal and toss to coat.
4. Heat oil in a large vessel pan in medium flame. When the oil become hot , lower the flame and fry the chicken pieces in batches for 4 to 5 minutes or till crisp golden.
5. Drain them on a kitchen paper or tissue paper to absorb the excess oil. Garnish on a
plate and serve hot.

2. Pour a beaten egg and mix well with them.
3. Apply flour and bread crumbs and mix with the strips to coat evenly.
Making chicken fingers
1. Heat oil in a deep vessel pan or kadai in medium flame.
2. When hot enough lower the gas flame to low and add the chicken strips one by one into the oil.
3. Fry them for 4 - 5 minutes or till crisp golden.
4. Remove and drain them on a kitchen paper to absorb any excess oil.
5. Place them in a garnish plate and serve hot.
